Donald J. Vachon, 79, of Bedford, passed away on March 12, 2023, at Catholic Medical Center.

He was born in Lawrence, MA on March 1, 1944, the son of the late Donais and Adrienne (Laberge) Vachon. Donald was a United States Army Veteran. He worked for the Freudenberg Group as a machinist for many years. He was predeceased by his wife, Mona Vachon in 2018.

Family members include stepchildren, Catherine Overson and her husband Mick of Wear, Frank Lord of Tilton, Jennifer Lord of Manchester, and Victoria Masry and her husband Paul of Manchester; seven grandchildren, and two great grandchildren; a brother Gerry Vachon of Manchester; a brother in law, Paul Huckins of RI; and three nieces, Lisa Huckins Lee, Tracey Huckins Byrnes, and Stephanie Huckins Sammons.

A calling hour will take place on Friday, March 24th from 10:30 to 11:30 at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover St., Manchester with a funeral service to follow in the funeral home chapel at 11:30. Burial with military honors will take place at the NH State Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen at 1 PM.
