Many would argue that their pets are as much a part of the family as the people. In the event that a pet passes away, some families would like to have a memorial ceremony as they would with a human family member.
Most pet cremation service providers, including all the pet cremation facilities in NH, will handle the cremation of a pet, but they do not have the space at their facilities to host a service or memorial for the pet. Some families would like to have the option of having a service for their pet.
We’d like to hear from you. Would you have a memorial service for a lost pet? If a pet were cremated within a facility that offers pet cremation, do you think it would it be considered acceptable to have a pet memorial within a funeral home that serves families? Furthermore, do you think that funeral homes should offer a pet obituary section for families to memorialize their pets?
