Manchester Funeral Home – Coolidge Avenue

When the Quirin mansion, a west side landmark, came up for sale in 1955, Arthur Phaneuf immediately knew the stately, beautiful structure, was perfect for a funeral home. Adding on 2,000 square feet of additional space, he quickly made it into the largest funeral home in Manchester. With a garage stall for six vehicles, an elevator, and a selection room displaying more than 30 caskets, the Coolidge location became one of the most impressive funeral homes of its time.

In 2006, this building was added to the NH Registry of Historic places with note of its prominent corner turret and rich Queen Anne style decoration.

This location’s long history does not come at a cost to modern conveniences; the Coolidge location, just like all other Phaneuf properties, has all the state-of-the-art amenities families may require, plus an in-house café.

Services held at our Coolidge Avenue funeral home are exclusive to your service. Only one family at a time may use the building. If privacy is important to you, please consider scheduling your service at this location.

Today, this beautiful space still retains its Victorian charms with its turret, large porch and even a Victorian-era replica horse-drawn hearse.
