HomeeventsKicking the Bucket List: Free Event – Manchester
Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium is pleased and proud to host “The Doyenne of Death,” Gail Rubin for an end-of-life and funeral pre-planning seminar in May. Gail has been featured on ABC, CBS, Fox, PBS, NPR and The Huffington Post.
“Despite great advances in medical care, humans do still have a 100% mortality rate,” she said in her TedX presentation in 2015. “Yet less than a third of us do any end-of-life planning.” Gail is a Certified Thanatologist, a pioneering death educator who uses humor to teach end-of-life topics. We are thrilled that she will be joining us for TWO seminars on May 23.
These events promise to be a lighthearted and educational way to help you learn about the many aspects of end-of life planning, including estate planning and taking care of advance medical directives. These FREE seminars will also feature Buddy Phaneuf, CFSP, Funeral Director, who will augment Gail’s presentation with information on how to best plan for your funeral, cremation, or other end-of-life services
As Gail says, “Talking about sex won’t make you pregnant, talking about funerals and end-of-life issues won’t make you dead. Start a conversation today.”
The events will be held Tuesday, May 23. The first presentation will take place at 2 p.m. at the Phaneuf Funeral Home Reception Center, located at 243 Hanover Street in Manchester. The second presentation will take place at 6 p.m. at the Phaneuf Funeral Home in Boscawen, located at 172 King Street.
The seminars are being presented free of charge, but pre-registration is required. Please call (603) 625-5779 or register online to reserve your seat. All attendees will be entered in a drawing to win Gail’s 4-DVD set of the TV interview series, A Good Goodbye.
