Are You Ready to Kick Your Bucket List?

Don’t Miss This FREE Event on May 23 in Manchester and Boscawen

Spring finally came this year, though there were times we thought it never would! We saw snow well into April this year, leaving many of us wondering why we choose to live in the unpredictable climate that is New England. Now that it’s warmer, and we’re more likely to get out of the house, we’ve put together a wonderful event to get people thinking and talking about something we don’t normally like to acknowledge, that is, until we have to. And we’re just dying to tell you all about it!

FREE Seminars Featuring Noted Speaker Gail Rubin

Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium will be hosting two free end-of-life and funeral pre-planning seminars, titled “Are You Ready to Kick your Bucket List,” which will be held May 23, in both our Manchester and Boscawen locations. We are excited to welcome “The Doyenne of Death,” Gail Rubin, CT, as our guest speaker. Gail has been featured on ABC, CBS, Fox, PBS, NPR and The Huffington Post.

You absolutely don’t want to mGail Rubiniss Gail’s presentation, in what promises to be a lighthearted and educational presentation about the many aspects of end-of-life planning, including how to downsize and organize things before you die. Gail is a Certified Thanatologist, a pioneering death educator who uses humor to teach end-of-life topics.

“Despite great advances in medical care, humans do still have a 100% mortality rate,” she said in her TedX presentation in 2015. “Yet less than a third of us do any end-of-life planning.”

These FREE seminars will also feature Buddy Phaneuf, CFSP, Funeral Director, who will augment Gail’s presentation with information on pre-planning and how pre-planning can be a precious gift to your family, providing your loved ones with your final wishes. As Gail says, “Talking about sex won’t make you pregnant, talking about funerals and end-of-life issues won’t make you dead. Start a conversation today.”

Dates, Times and Locations:

Both events will be held Tuesday, May 23. The first presentation will take place at 2 p.m. at the Phaneuf Funeral Home Reception Center, located at 243 Hanover Street in Manchester. The second presentation will take place at 6 p.m. at the Phaneuf Funeral Home in Boscawen, located at 172 King Street.

Registration is Required:

The seminars are being presented free of charge, but pre-registration is required. Please call (603) 625-5779 to reserve your seat, or register online.  All attendees will be entered in a drawing to win Gail’s 4-DVD set of the TV interview series, A Good Goodbye.

Preplanning your final arrangements ensures that your family understands your final wishes and alleviates a great deal of stress.
